BANK OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT

There are two assessments in this module. The first element is 3 in class multiple choice question (MCQ) tests. The second element is a 1,500-word coursework essay. This document provides detail and guidance on both assessments.

Assessment (1): Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) tests – Dates:

- MCQ 1: Week four: Friday 22nd October 2021

- MCQ 2: Week eight: Friday 19th November 2021

- MCQ 3: Week eleven: Friday 10th December 2021

MCQ 1 covers content from weeks 1-3. This includes the lecture PPTX slide-deck, seminar task and solution set, MP4 video lecture, and the stated weeks reading across both lecture content and the seminar task (where applicable). This resource set is sufficient to revise for the test, however an additional MCQ practice test will be made available online from Friday October 08th to enable you to get used to the online system.

MCQ 3 captures content from weeks 4-7 of the syllabus and MCQ 3 attaches to materials from weeks 8-10. Both MCQ 2 & 3 are identical in terms of revision materials required. PPT lecture slide-deck, MP4 lecture videos, seminars task/solutions set, and all weekly associated reading (textbook, journals, and so on).

MCQ tests carry an individual weighting of 20%, which in aggregate represents 60% of the total award in this module.

Each MCQ is held in class on campus and is invigilated by the lecturer on the day. The MCQ test replaces your seminar in these weeks. The MCQ test is 60 minutes in duration is and 20 questions in length. The test is a closed book format and should be completed on an individual basis (no teamwork). Full instructions reiterating this document will be provided prior to each test.

Assessment (2): Coursework Essay Deadline/Submission: Midday 17TH December 2021

This will typically be reported via online announcement and/or in class. Please pay particular attention to online announcement as it is used as a crucial communication tool in this module.
