Drawing on models and concepts of high-performance work culture, critically analyse the above quotations and assess their practical relevance. Evaluate the role of leadership in the context of management development programmes (particularly coaching and mentoring) that could enhance performance and culture within an organisation of your choice (LO3). Your presentation should also include the design of an appropriate coaching and mentoring programme that can be implemented to develop staff. (LO4).
This coursework is an individual piece of work. Your research and findings should be presented using a maximum of 12 PowerPoint slides. Each slide should be backed up with supporting notes (2000 words +/- 10% in total across the 12 slides). These notes are meant to support the information that you have provided in the slides. You will need to include and reference at least 6 different sources including a minimum of 3 academic textbooks, 1 academic journal to help provide supporting evidence for any assertions that you make within your report.
Your PowerPoint presentation should outline your research, judgements as well as the conclusions drawn. The presentation slides along with all written work, including presentation notes (2,000 words +/-10%) should be submitted online, through Turnitin. You must include both a reference list and bibliography.
The completion of your work will satisfy 50% of the assessment for the Leading People module.

Assess the value of high performance work culture to organisations. The significant features of a high performance work culture and its impact on business operations and practice. The role of leadership, effective performance management processes, accountability, expectations, empowerment and authority, leadership capability should be researched and their impact should be considered in the creation of a high performance culture
The inclusion of recognised management development strategies used by organisations to develop their staff. This could encompass leadership behaviours and styles in coaching and mentoring, strategies that incorporate goal setting, feedback, celebration and rewards and others. Consider various theories for mentoring/coaching. Explore the culture barriers to coaching and mentoring.
Design appropriate coaching and mentoring techniques based on good practice models identified through your research that can be used to develop staff.
