Assignment brief – Mental Health Nursing

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND REFLECTION – REFLECTIVE ASSIGNMENT

Background: This assignment is a reflective essay to prepare and present a portfolio for a Masters degree in Mental Health Nursing. I am a graduate student in Information Studies who will be starting a Master’s degree in Mental health Nursing.

The reflection should portray the 5 skills highlighted in the 5 sections. The reflection should be written based on my academic experience in Information Studies (I have attached my transcripts)  but most importantly, the reflection should be based on a care experience in a care environment (for mental patients). This care may include people’s physical, cognitive, social, learning or developmental needs etc. with adults. You do not need to demonstrate experience in all these areas.

In short, this reflective essay needs to show that I can demonstrate all the 5 skills and abilities (in the sections)  through my academic experience/studies in my first degree in Information Studies and my experience in a care environment with mental health patients (adult).
