LO2: Demonstrate an understanding of the systems, procedures, legislation and knowledge base that guide and support professionals to record, report on, critically evaluate and analyse complex information to help make informed decisions when working with children who are in need or in need of protection.

LO3: Critically reflect on work with families and children and the services that support them, including looked after children and children requiring services due to being socially disadvantaged, disabled, leaving care or being young carers.

LO4: Be able to recognise signs of harm, abuse and neglect and demonstrate an understanding  of how to take appropriate action applicable to their position in order to contribute effectively within multi-professional and collaborative processes.

LO5: Demonstrate an understanding of skills that promote partnership working that facilitates the strengthening of parents, wider family networks and communities whilst maintaining a focus on child wellbeing and safeguarding.

LO6: Critically evaluate the knowledge base and it’s relevance to the social work role in children and families social work
