To pass this assignment you must have done everything listed below. Use the checklist before submitting your work. Tick off every item on this list before submitting your assignment.
Your marker will consider how well you have done each of the following:
You have produced all five items specified:
- An essay entitled New Cutting Edge Advanced – An Evaluation.
- An authentic text. This must not be taken from educational website.
- Three teaching activities to exploit the text, together with aims, instructions and any materials a teacher would need to use them.
At least one activity must be of your own design and not copied from another source.
- An essay entitled Using Authentic Materials and the Internet in the Language Classroom.
- A bibliography listing all items referred to. (At least four references)

To score the minimum of 45% required to pass this assignment you need to include all the components listed above, select an appropriate text for teaching and produce teaching materials that would achieve their stated aims, and pass all the assessment criteria listed below.
Assignments which have not passed all assessment criteria will not be graded and will need to be resubmitted.
You can make up to three attempts in total on each assignment.

Merit – 60- 69%
Distinction – 70-100%
