MAY821 - Advanced Modeling
In this subject the student will be introduced to the principles involved in digital sculpting. Students will build on the acquired skills learned in the Modeling 1 Concepts course. A variety of scultping techniques, as well as map extraction for enhancement will be explored. Students will create a series of models culminating with the creation of characters, props and environments for their final production.
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:
- Create advanced level organic models using polygonal geometry
- Create advanced level hard surface (non-organic) models using polygonal geometry
- Create normal and displacement maps to be used for final output.
