MEM 509 – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT

Given that you are/have been presently employed/involved in some manufacturing or service project/company/organization - clearly identify the project/company/organization you are/have been presently involved in. You do not have to have been the Information Technology Manager, but could have played some role in the project/company/organization.

REQUIRED: Answer the following questions in the context of the project/company/organization:

Q1. Clearly identify and discuss the technologies available today and emerging technology trends for hardware, software, networks and data, with respect to your organization.

Q2. Describe the software applications to support business operations and business intelligence, as well as e-business applications, in the context of your organization.

Q3. What “Best practices” for acquiring and implementing new systems and managing IT projects are currently being implemented in your organization?

Q4. Discuss how the planning and managing an IS department’s resources, as well as managing information security; social/ethical/legal issues are undertaken within your organization.
