This module provides the opportunity to investigate how communication is perceived, how applying appropriate techniques and skills can improve situations, encourage and empower people. 

This module allows students to examine their communication styles and develop counselling and coaching skills relevant to work with children, young people and families in community and educational settings. It explores the idea of encouraging and empowering ourselves and others through effective communication. Students will be encouraged to identify professional communication methods for partnership and cohesive working. Students are required to apply and evaluate their communication skills in the assessed work for this module.
