To undertake a review of resourcing and talent management policies and practices in an organisation of your choice and make recommendations for improvement with reference to current thinking and good practice.  Your work is to be presented as a business report to the senior HR decision-maker in the organisation.  You may focus your report on one of the following areas:

• Recruiting talent
• Selecting talent
• Training talent
• Developing talent
• Retaining talent

Critical evaluation of organisational practices

Your findings should be presented clearly. You should include:

1. A brief description of current policy and practice
2. An evaluative critical analysis of current policy and practice. Identify the practices that are working well and those that are not. Consider not only the effectiveness of these practices but also the contribution derived from them in terms of the organisation achieving its strategic goals. Evaluate the impact on the organisation.
