ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW:

You are a member of the HR Team within a multinational restaurant chain; you have been tasked with undertaking an audit of your organisation’s performance management strategies in preparation for a new business initiative that will establish a joint venture in a new international market of your choice. This new initiative will require some staff to be recruited locally together with the relocation of some expatriate staff from within your organisation to manage the new venture alongside those of your joint venture partner.

INDIVIDUAL REPORT:

In the role of HR Manager, you are required to write an individual report that presents an overview of your selected organisation’s performance management strategies and the impact these strategies will have on the proposed new initiative with the joint venture partner. In addition to evaluating performance management strategy, your report should highlight and make recommendations for how the organisation should optimise employee engagement taking account of the cultural identifiers of both the parent and joint venture partner organisations. Your report should be written, for the HR Director in a business format.
