This assignment requires that you write a technical report on the following.

1. You are required to discuss the need for economic feasibility studies in the context of manufacturing information systems and identify, through a review of the literature, the factors to take into account when determining economic feasibility.

2. You need to draw up an hypothetical economic feasibility report for managing director of an imaginary medium sized manufacturing company wishing to adopt a Barcode system for its shop floor operations. The Barcode technology is expected to replace a manual data collection system currently in use by the company. It is up to you to create the operations scenario for the medium sized company.
