Your manager has asked you to prepare an information sheet to give to an intake of new practitioners to the people practice team as part of their induction. The aim is to showcase how evidence-based practice and analytics are used by the people function to inform and assure sound decision-making.
You are required to produce a briefing paper which has 2 sections.
Your briefing paper can be based on your own organisation or one you are familiar with

Policies/procedures are written broad guidelines for organisations to comply with. But they might need to change because of changes in the micro and macro world.
Give one example of a macro change:
Employment law changes? Compliance with laws and regulations?
Give one example of a micro change:
Organisation process changes. To help achieve objectives and goals efficiently.
Policies and procedures are there to help, support and drive customer-focused strategy and to support the business in terms of its intended strategic achievement.

Section 2
Data analysis and recommendations
In section two, your manager has asked you to provide practical working examples of how the people practice team examines, interprets and presents the findings of data in different diagrammatical formats so it can be easily understood. She has asked you to use the information in Table 1 (found on the (submission form), about turnover rates, as an example. The table shows the number of employees leaving different departments over a three-year period.
Evidence to be produced
Provide two diagrammatic forms to present your findings
500 words commenting on the data issues identified.

Calculations and graphs do not count in your word count. Your 500 words is for your analysis and potential solutions when you discuss your findings.

Conduct common calculations to interpret data.
Firstly, open the data in Excel and save a copy so you can carry out your calculations and save them.
