Task summary:

Create a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation with embedded audio that evaluates the planning and management of resources and the performance of multidisciplinary teams within an integrated care system, using a specific health and care service as an example. The presentation should demonstrate practice-based approaches and address the social, cultural, and economic factors influencing resource planning, as well as the impact of leadership and budgeting decisions on service delivery.

Assignment instructions:

For this task, you must produce a PowerPoint presentation with embedded audio (15 minutes maximum) on resource planning and management within a chosen health and care service operating in an integrated care system. The presentation should discuss and evaluate effective resource planning and its impact on multidisciplinary team performance and patient outcomes.

You should select a specific health and care service (e.g., Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services - CAMHS) within an integrated care system and use this service as the basis for your assignment.

In your presentation, you should cover the following key areas:

• Introduction: Outline the aims, introduce the chosen service and population, and explain the importance of resource planning in multidisciplinary teams.
• Service Description: Describe the selected service, its purpose, target population, multidisciplinary team composition, and key stakeholders.
• Resource Planning: Define resource planning and its key concepts. Explain its importance for high-quality, person-centred care.
• Multicultural Factors: Identify multicultural factors (e.g., cultural diversity, cross-cultural awareness) and discuss their impact on service delivery.
• Budget Formulation: Evaluate factors affecting budget decisions (e.g., government priorities, economic constraints, unforeseen circumstances) and strategies for effective budgeting.
• Leadership: Define leadership in the context of resource planning. Discuss relevant leadership theories and approaches (e.g., transformational, situational) and strategies for effective resource management (e.g., strategic communication, role definition).
• Performance Links: Analyse how effective resource planning improves multidisciplinary team performance, reduces service duplication, and enhances patient outcomes. Address challenges and solutions in managing performance.
• Conclusion: Summarise the main focus of your presentation, summarising the importance of effective resource planning and management when managing the function of a service operating in a multidisciplinary team.

• Ensure the audio is embedded correctly and functions properly before submission.
• Include citations throughout the presentation and a full reference list in the final slide(s), following AU Harvard referencing guidelines.
• The presentation should be clear, concise, and structured for a professional audience.
