This paper deals with the source, storage and safe removal of medication encompassing obtaining, transporting, recording, treatment, keeping safe, dispensing, and safe disposal of medicines. In addition to this, the student is required to explain the rules of supply and administration through Patient Group Direction (PGD) together with discussing essential elements such as pros/cons of working in partnership with patient/client, principles of pharmacology in nursing practice, frameworks supporting productive medicines management and administration, etc.
