Using at least two key developments in the history of psychology as an example, answer the following: “Does the man make the times, or do the times make the man?”

1. In other words, were the two key developments you present made possible because of the Zeitgeist (social, cultural, technological developments, etc.) OR because of the individual (an originator or founder with exceptional skill, intellect, insight, etc.)?
2. Answers will be evaluated to assess the extent to which students’ conclusions are supported by strong evidence from module readings (i.e., peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and book chapters).

3. It would be great to apply it to a modern psychology and how it could effect world now.

4. Need to describe each of 2 key developments you have chosen. A major aspect of this is to demonstrate that the development (theory, technology, research findings, paradigm, ideology etc) is, indeed KEY within the history of psychology. To do this you can demonstrate how it affected psychology which came after it.
