Hollie Garton
About Hollie Garton
Most literature review drafts come in with enough sources but no real connection between them. One author is explained, then another, but nothing is compared or brought together.
Hollie works on that part. She places sources against each other where needed, especially when different studies reach different conclusions. This helps the review move away from description and towards analysis.
She also checks whether the sources being used actually fit the topic. It is common to see unrelated or older material added just to increase citations. These are either removed or replaced so the section stays relevant.
Another point she looks at is whether the literature review leads towards the research question. If that link is missing, the chapter does not support the rest of the dissertation properly.
