Lauren Ridley

NVQ Assignment Writer & Workplace Practice Specialist

Education: BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care - Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (RQF) (Leeds Beckett University)

Experience: 4 years, 550 projects completed

Lauren started her career in a care home, then moved into a senior role where she supported staff working towards their NVQs. After finishing her own Level 5 Leadership qualification, she began writing NVQ assignments full-time for learners who are busy on shift but still want solid, assessor-ready work. Because she has worked on the floor herself, she understands rotas, case notes, care plans, MAR charts, risk assessments and supervision records, and she knows how to turn this practice into strong written evidence.

When a student sends a brief, Lauren checks the unit number, learning outcomes and assessment criteria first. She then plans the assignment so each section clearly links to what the assessor needs to sign off. She uses realistic workplace examples, up-to-date policies and everyday scenarios rather than textbook replies, so the work fits the learner’s role and setting.

Lauren is used to NVQs from City & Guilds, NCFE, Pearson and other awarding bodies, and she is patient with feedback. If an assessor asks for more detail or clarification, she revisits the work, adds what is needed and makes sure every point is covered in line with the unit requirements.
