Understanding Social Exclusion in Context

Social exclusion is not simply about economic deprivation; it is multidimensional, involving limited access to housing, healthcare, education, and social networks (Levitas et al., 2007). A domestic abuse victim who has fled their home often experiences multiple forms of exclusion. They may face homelessness, financial instability, mental health struggles, and lack of support systems.
