Write:
In at least 150 words, address the following:
- Briefly describe the strategy you chose.
- Share how much time you spent reading, how many times you read the article, and how many words, phrases, and/or ideas were unfamiliar.

Sample Answer
Last week, I chose the reading strategy “Identify,” which falls under the “Remember” category of Bloom’s Taxonomy. This strategy involves identifying and noting key concepts, important terms, and main ideas while reading a text. My aim in using this strategy was to focus on basic comprehension and to highlight the most essential parts of the reading so I could recall them easily later. I believed that this method would help me engage with the content more effectively, especially when dealing with complex academic material. I used a notebook to write down definitions, names, and any repeated themes, and I highlighted these in the text as I read.
In total, I spent around one hour reading the assigned article. I read it twice, once for a general understanding and the second time to focus on identifying specific terms and ideas. During my first reading, I felt overwhelmed because the text included many academic phrases and unfamiliar words, such as “metacognition,” “cognitive load,” and “active recall.”
