In relation to the chosen case scenario,student should be able to identify and discuss: The psychosocial needs of the service user: psychological factors that influence their behavior, cultural, social & ethical issues (values, beliefs) and link these to person centred care. Consider the service user`s dignity, respect and confidentiality when analysing your case. The following topics should also be taken into account when analysing the case:

Make sure to explain in detail the psychological, social and cultural aspect that may affect the service user and his examination.

You can start by looking at a definition of `psycho-social` and think how this relates to the service user in this case.

In relation to patient centered care(PCC) think how you can apply a `values based` radiography approach,VBP and link this to the psycho-social`aspect.

Consider the link between and consent and the potential barriers to gaining consent due to capacity,what happens if the SU lacks the capacity to consent?

Consider how communication can affect the behavior of the SU(anxiety, stress etc) before and during the X-ray examination and what you could do to make this a positive experience.

Think about potential stereotypes and discrimination linked to your service user`s condition/age.

Remember to include cultural and social aspects in the discussion part. For this you will need to do some research around your service user`s group (health care experience, social networks, cultural perceptions of your SU group, specifics needs).
