For PR1, you are tasked with developing a sustainable business plan presented in the form of a video for a renewable energy (such as, but not limited to solar energy, wind energy etc) business.

Whether working individually or in groups (maximum 3 students in eachgroup), your objective is to create a compelling video presentation that effectively presents your business proposition to a panel of business experts from a country of your choice. These experts will evaluate the feasibility of your business idea by posing relevant questions regarding your plan.

Your video presentation should cover the following aspects:

  • Explain the reasons behind your selection of the specific business idea and why it aligns with sustainability principles in the context of the chosen country.
  • Describe the process you went through to generate your business idea. Include any research,brainstorming, or inspiration that influenced your decision.
  • Discuss the feasibility studies you conducted to assess the viability of your business idea. Explain themethods used and the key findings that support the feasibility of your plan.
  • Provide detailed information about what the renewable energy business will offer. Explain the unique features, benefits, and how these align with sustainability goals in the chosen country.
  • Identify potential market opportunities for your renewable energy business in the chosen country. Discuss the target audience, market size, competition, and any market trends or opportunities you have identified.
  • Analyse the attractiveness of the renewable energy business in the chosen country and how your business fits within it. Consider factors such as market growth, profitability, sustainability trends, and potential challenges.
  • Present a compelling vision for your renewable energy business, including long-term goals, social or environmental impact, and how you plan to achieve sustainability in your operations while catering to thechosen country’s market.

Requirements and Resources:

  • Create a video presentation using a software of your choice (e.g., PowerPoint withvideo, screen recording with video, etc.).

  • Your video presentation should not exceed 8 minutes.

  • Use a wide range of resources, including peer-reviewed academic journals, books, and academicdatabases such as Mintel, EBSCOhost, ProQuest, etc.

  • Properly cite all the sources used within your video presentation using Harvard style.

  • Your video presentation should be in MP4 (MPEG-4 Video) format.

  • UploadthepresentationinPowerPointformattoLSSTConnect(notinvideo).

  • Upload your video presentation to Panopto and provide the lecturer with the link to the uploaded video.

  • If you work in group, include supporting material such as a detailed group log, documenting thecontributions of each group member.

  • Cover Slide: Begin your video presentation with a cover slide that displays essential information suchas the title, your name, student ID, and any other details.
