You are anticipating this period of change to be extremely challenging within the current uncertain political climate. Similarly, with developing changes in technology, social responsibility and environmental concerns you are unsure of your ability to manage and lead your organisation throughout this period of change. You have decided to prepare for this period of change by researching what the drivers of change are and how change can be managed. Following yourresearchyou plan to prepare a presentation to share with your colleagues in order to support the wider management team.
Task 1: Managing the Impact of Change

Part A: Responding to Change
Assess the different drivers for change using a range of real-world examples to support your answer. Using the organisations you have included for your examples, compare how each of the organisations have responded to the drivers for change, considering similarities and differences in each organisation’s approach to dealing with change.
Part B: The Impact of Change
Evaluate the ways in which the internal and external drivers of change may affect the leadership behaviour, and the behaviour of the teams and individuals. You should use examples to support your answer. Once you have considered the potential impacts of change you must evaluate measures that can be taken to minimise the negative impacts of change on organisational behaviour. You should aim to apply appropriate theories and models in order to critically evaluate organisational response to change.
Your answer to this task (Part A and Part B) will be enhanced if you draw conclusions and recommendations and aim to provide valid justification for planning effectively for change, applying change impact analysis.

Task 2: Leadership Decision Making
Select an organisation as a case study for this task – this could be your own place of work, one of the organisations used in task one or a completely different organisation.
In relation to your selected organisation, produce a force field analysis that identifies the driving and resisting forces associated with change. You are then required to explain the different barriers for change and analyse the driving and resisting forces to determine how they influence leadership decision making within your selected organisation. If you wish to enhance your assignment further you should critically evaluate the use of force field analysis in relation to meeting the organisational objectives of your selected organisation.

Create a PowerPoint presentation to delivery to your colleagues with the aim of supporting them in their leadership through the period of change. Your slides must be clear and you are required to provide accompanying notes for each slide.
Apply different leadership approaches to dealing with change in a range of organisational contexts and evaluate the extent to which leadership approaches can deliver change effectively. You should apply a range of appropriate models and frameworks to support your answer to this task. If you wish to enhance your assignment further you should aim to critically evaluate the effectiveness of the leadership approaches and models of change management you have used in this task.
