After reviewing the PowerPoint for week 10 take a moment to recall your interview conducted with populations 65 and older. One strategy proposed by the federal government to decrease the spread of illness was to mandate the use and coverage of telehealth by insurance providers. Taking into consideration the spread of disease and the risks to health associated with visiting physicians` offices for healthcare consumers 65+ who are vulnerable to the current health crisis, how could a nurse specifically address some of the barriers cited by your interviewees with regard to the use of telehealth.
