SUBMITTING YOUR ASSIGNMENT

In order to achieve full marks, you must submit your work before the deadline. Work that is submitted late – up to five working days after the published submission deadline - will be accepted and marked. However, the element of the module’s assessment to which the work contributes will be capped with a maximum mark of 40%.

Work cannot be submitted if the period of 5 working days after the deadline has passed (unless there is an approved extension). Failure to submit within the relevant period will mean that you have failed the assessment.

Getting an interview is tough in today’s competitive job market. With more people applying for each job than ever before, it is vital that you stand out from the crowd. Candidates need to understand how the hospitality, tourism and events industry is structured, governed, and managed. They also need to have the ability to identify and evaluate the impact of key stakeholders. Doing extensive research on the company you have been offered an interview for is essential to help make you the top candidate.

Researching the company before you go for the interview will help you to:

1. Talk more knowledgably about why you are a good fit for the company

2. Demonstrate your keen interest and enthusiasm for the job

3. Show professionalism and diligence

You have been invited to interview for a senior management level position at the London Zoo

To prepare for this interview, you are required to write a report that includes the following information: an organisational profile, identifies its objectives and any consumer trends that are followed, its sustainability performance, describes how it operates financially and how it is governed, identifies key stakeholders and any current issues that are affecting these stakeholders. (2500 words) (80 marks)

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial operations, governance, stakeholders and current issues (Up to 40 marks)
