For your summative assignment you will write a report on the small-scale or pilot study you proposed for your formative assignment. Your assignment should be structured to answer a set of focused research questions and aims, and should be based on primary analysis of documentary data or secondary analysis of an existing data set. You may not interview subjects by any means.

Your essay will be evaluated on the basis of your ability to demonstrate:

1. In-depth critical understanding of your selected policy topic based on published literature and research findings;
2. Appropriate use and referencing of peer-reviewed published social science literature relating to your selected policy topic;
3. Appropriate selection and explicit discussion of the methods and key skills used to answer your research question.
