- Examine TWO ingredients to improve gut health and how they work.
TASK GUIDANCE:
- Critically evaluate how gut health impacts the external appearance of skin, and how it effects Industry led treatments.
- Choose ONE of the following skin conditions that is affected by gut health; rosacea or psoriasis.
- Evaluate how this skin condition effects industry treatments.
- Examine TWO ingredients to improve gut health and how they work.
- Focus on attention to detail, quality of work and overall academic standards.

MARKING CRITERIA:
- 10% of marks - Work should be laid out conducive with UCB guidelines for a report.
- 40% of marks – Critically evaluate gut health and how it impacts the health of the skin, identify and detail the skin condition chosen, and how the skin condition effect treatments in the industry. For higher grades use academic sources to support linkages between the gut health and the skin condition.
- 20% of marks – Examine two ingredients used to improve gut health, the benefits of the ingredient
- 20% of marks -How the ingredients selected improve the gut heath, how they are administered and timeline before results are seen. For higher grades use scientific trials on the ingredients to support your discussions
- 10% of marks – Use appropriate academic sources to UCB requirements.
