An example is McDonalds and their ordering systems that uses new technology that allows customers to order and pay for food and then wait for their order number to be called out. This method uses Taylor’s Scientific approach. A direct comparison to an impact of change would be TESCO, whereby in 2015 they suffered a 6.4-billion-pound loss. This resulted in Tesco buying Bookers and the additional brands of Londis and Budgens in order to compete with Lidl and Aldi (which was eroding profits due to Brexit and the dropping value of the pound which resulted in more expensive imported foods).
