Planning stage
During planning, staff work together to design activities that match the lesson objectives and meet learners’ individual needs. Teachers usually take the lead in deciding what will be taught, but teaching assistants contribute by sharing their knowledge of pupils’ abilities, learning styles, and any additional support needs. For example, a teaching assistant might suggest adjustments for a pupil with dyslexia or provide ideas for hands-on tasks to help visual learners.
