This part of the assignment will require you to compile a Student Journal (learning log), through summarising your learning on one of the following topics:

• Sustainability within the hotel industry

• Health & Wellbeing – the emerging trend within hotels.

• Housekeeping – the backbone of a hotel operation.

You must include personal reflections and link your work to industry discussion. Describe how you will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge that you gain whilst working in industry. Discuss why the topic is important in the hospitality industry.

You must use the Student Journal template (example on next page from HAFO). The template can be located on Moodle, under the Assessment tile. You must reference your work accordingly, by providing both in-text citations and a reference list at the end, which follows IHM’s UWTSD Harvard Referencing Guide (this can also be located on Moodle, under the Module Information tile).
